Elfriede Dietrich Foundation, founded 2008

We are a non-profit foundation helping people that suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

What is PTSD and when did it occur?

An incident for example is traumatic when the person who experienced it is not able to handle it. This leads to psychological and psychosomatic symptoms that hinder those people to live a normal and happy life.

Primarily the Elfriede Dietrich Foundation wants to encourage those people to recognise these symptoms as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Specific occupational groups such as physicians, people working for aid organisations or policemen, nurses but also teachers should be made aware of how to help people that might have PTSD.

Terrifying events cannot be reversed, but a specialised therapy can help people to live a fulfilling life.
